You will not gain wealth from your internship.
The purpose of your internship is to
thicken your portfolio. If you are just some gopher then leave. Unless, they pay well and
change would mean rearranging your program.
Do everything you can to learn the trade
whatever it is. Learn more about the downfalls, how software impacts the market etc.
It is nice to have a well paying
internship however, that is not the focus. Most likely the best internship is the non-paid
internship because you are able to have some hands on training with an experienced
professional.
Attempt to do at least three types of
internship. In my major it was for-profit, non-profit and corporate.
Don’t count on the internship to
offer you a job. It would be nice; however, it is not likely.
Attempt to network with others.
