4
in 2, huh?
By Eric LaRose
Welcome to college. Every day is
a new challenge. Will I get my classes? Will I graduate on
time? Will I find something edible to eat in the school
cafeteria? Every day is a new question.
One frequently asked question
is, Why? Why do we have to go through college, and why does it
take so long? Four years is a really long time. That’s why
technical schools are so popular — you can finish a
technical degree in two years.
One problem, though, a technical
degree won’t get you that job you want. So why bother, why
don’t you just finish your real college degree in two years?
You can do it. Eighteen credits a semester, 12 in the summer,
a winterm class, you can do it in theory.
I no what you’re thinking,
“No one can do that. That’s impossible. A four-year degree
in two-years. That’s nuts!”

But someone has done it. Meet
Baltazar C. Fedalizo, he felt the same way. Schools are just
businesses. The longer the school can keep you enrolled, the
more money they will make off of you.
So instead of being a bank for
his college, he loaded up on the classes, and got out in two
years. “I am not special — I did not have any tricks up my
sleeve or use any special programs some schools offer to a
certain segment of the student body,” said Baltazar. “All
I had to work with was this program. I have kept a diary since
my return and have documented all the obstacles I faced while
in this endeavor.”
Now he has a challenge for you.
He holds the record for the shortest amount of time invested
in a four-year degree. He thinks that you can do it too, and
he is putting his money where his mouth is.
He stated, “I am challenging
the nation and its territories because I think no one can beat
this record. After speaking to Paul R. Burns of Guinness World
of Records Attractions, I believe this can only be matched if
a person were guided through the maze of higher education.
Although this was not referred by anyone at Guinness World of
Records, I believe this is a record. I am willing to put forth
a prize of $10,000 for anyone who can beat my record.”
$10,000 for two years of hell,
that might be worth it after all. If you are interested, check
out his website at www.4in2.com. It will tell you all the
information you need to get enrolled in the program, and get
out of school in two years. |
